Shymalamadingdong by Raezing16 Shymalamadingdong by Raezing16
This whole piece sort of has a funny story behind it... My friend Kayla (~fatesocruel) and I had been talking at lunch about directors and screenwriters, and I'd mentioned that I'd read on io9 (a great website for sci-fi fans, fantasy, or pretty much anything else) how at that time they were filming the episode of Doctor Who that Neil Gaiman wrote. However, instead of saying "Neil Gaiman," I accidentally said "M. Night. Shymlan" because we'd been talking earlier about M. Night Shymlan and how he'd completely butchered The Last Airbender. Well, my friend FREAKED! She then launched into a very impressive tirade about how that "Shymalamadingdong" must never be allowed to write for or direct something well - loved ever again.

The next week we were assigned a negative portrait with the requirement that it had to have extreme expression or else a fantasy element...and I knew just what extreme expression I wanted to use...

I really like this, I never even heard of doing this sort of portrait. I will have to put it on my list of things to try at some point for myself. The expression is a great choice, kinda menacing but it really works with the negativeness.

Really Neil Gaiman? I will have to look out for that episode, it will probably rival the weeping angels for creepiness but be good.

I think it's either the fourth or fifth episode of series 6...and it definitely will be creepy! Oh, march can't come soon enough@

The following petition represents us wanting M. Night Shyamalan to give us his ORIGINAL 125-minute version of "The Last Airbender", which he filmed before Summer-2009....MUCH better than the version we ended up seeing in theaters. The Original version was praised by critics (published reviews) weeks/months before the movie was released.

The Shymalamadingdong will be sacrificed to the gods of cinema, and apology dances will be done worldwide as we seek their forgiveness for whatever we did that brought him upon us. This is a really nice piece, Rachel, i love the hair and the sharp contrast in the hand.

Will there be sacrifices? Perhaps with movies like "The Happening" and "Last Airbender."

Thanks for the compliment! And thank you for putting up with posing over and over until I got the perfect shot that reflected that conversation.
