Gears by Raezing16 Gears by Raezing16
This drawing is the result of several things, but was inspired largely the fact that I'd been listening to a series of audiobooks all taking place in the Victorian era, which easily lends to steampunk. "Gears" was done for my drawing class...and DANG metal can be hard to get right! Well, metal and tweed jackets...

Pen and Ink and Colored Pencil on illustration board

Edit: The lips were seriously bugging me, so I went back and reworked them and took a non-blurry picture.

Thanks! Likewise for your horse drawing though...I couldn't believe how fast you were able to crank it out, and still make it look so good!

Oh, I love the gears in the background (the smaller ones), they have such excellent shininess and perspective. And the multi-directional texturing in the negative space, too. But....the lips....they look a bit odd.

Agh I know!!! I took the picture before I fixed them, so I need to go back and take another picture, not to mention it's a bit blurry...

Oh good! Because I was worried, you know, that you'd lost your anatomical/critical eye. But that's good.

Oh no, the glare from the pool and lifeguarding hasn't caused me to lose that yet!
